Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Quotation

This Agreement becomes effective when you:

• Accept the quotation verbally, electronically, by email, or by digital signature;
• Pay any required deposit; or
• Authorise Ozgrid Energy to commence work.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are either the property owner or have the owner's authority to enter into this Agreement.

2. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
• Quotations are valid for 30 days from the issue date.
• A deposit may be required to secure equipment and schedule installation.
• The remaining balance is payable before or on the day of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Credit and debit card payments may attract a processing surcharge.
• Late payments may incur reasonable administration fees and interest as permitted by law.

Ownership of the system remains with Ozgrid Energy until full payment has been received.

3. Government Rebates & STCs

Quoted prices generally include the assignment of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs).

By accepting this quotation, you assign all rights to create and claim STCs to Ozgrid Energy or its nominated agent.

If government rebate rules change or STC values change before installation, Ozgrid Energy reserves the right to adjust the quotation accordingly after notifying you.

4. Installation & Site Requirements

Installation dates are estimates only and may change due to weather, distributor approvals, equipment availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

You agree to:

• Provide safe and unrestricted access to the property;
• Ensure the roof and switchboard are suitable for installation;
• Secure pets and provide access to the meter box;
• Ensure someone over 18 years of age is available on the Installation.

Additional costs may apply where unforeseen site conditions require:

• Switchboard upgrades
• Meter upgrades
• Additional cabling
• Roof repairs
• Difficult roof access
• Relocation of equipment

Any additional work will be discussed with you before proceeding wherever practicable.

5. Grid Connection

Where included in the quotation, Ozgrid Energy will prepare and submit the required grid connection application.

Approval times are determined by your electricity distributor and retailer.

Ozgrid Energy is not responsible for delays caused by distributors, retailers, metering providers, or government authorities.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

• Providing accurate information regarding the property.
• Ensuring legal authority to approve the installation.
• Obtaining body corporate approval where required.
• Maintaining internet access for Wi-Fi monitoring, where applicable.
• Notifying Ozgrid Energy promptly of any system faults.

7. Warranties

Ozgrid Energy provides a workmanship warranty as stated in your quotation.

Equipment supplied is covered by the respective manufacturer's warranty.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

• Misuse
• Unauthorised modifications
• Fire
• Flood
• Storms
• Lightning
• Vermin or pests
• Acts of vandalism
• Lack of reasonable maintenance

Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Performance & Savings

Estimated electricity production, savings, feed-in tariffs and payback periods are estimates only.

Actual performance depends on factors including:

• Weather conditions
• Shading
• Electricity usage
• Electricity tariffs
• Government policies
• System maintenance

Ozgrid Energy does not guarantee future electricity savings or feed-in tariff rates.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel this Agreement during any applicable statutory cooling-off period.

If cancellation occurs after equipment has been ordered or installation has been scheduled, Ozgrid Energy may retain or recover reasonable costs already incurred, as permitted by law.

Where Ozgrid Energy cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond your control, such as distributor rejection, any refund will be assessed after deducting reasonable costs already incurred.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ozgrid Energy is not liable for:

• Delays caused by third parties;
• Changes to government rebates or incentive schemes;
• Electricity retailer decisions;
• Feed-in tariff changes;
• Internet outages affecting monitoring;
• Indirect or consequential losses.

Our liability is limited to the remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Privacy

Ozgrid Energy collects and manages personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.

Your information may be used to:

• Prepare quotations
• Arrange installation
• Register warranties
• Apply for government rebates
• Provide ongoing customer support

We do not sell your personal information.

12. Force Majeure

Ozgrid Energy will not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Extreme weather
• Floods
• Bushfires
• Supply chain shortages
• Government restrictions
• Industrial action
• Distributor or retailer delays

13. Complaints
